Hoop 2 Hope Resumes January 13th, 2024!
2024 SPRING REPORT
Hoop 2 Hope. We started both the Friday and Saturday basketball outreach in mid-January after the Christmas break. There was an increase in participation as the number of regular participants in the junior group that meets on Saturdays rose from 35 to 52 participants! The same applied to the High School group that meets on Fridays. Participation increased from 52 to 70 participants. This presented a serious challenge in terms of supervision and effective mentorship, as we lacked committed volunteers, especially on Saturdays. We are grateful to Brother Aaron Saunders of Evangel Temple Toronto for stepping up to volunteer with the High School group. We are also thankful for Pastor Audley and Matthew for their active volunteer support during the season.
